Beneficial Electrification Examples

Billions of dollars for energy efficiency become available as a result of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act of 2021. Since most beneficial electrification (BE) results in energy savings, this presents a great opportunity to implement BE programs across the country.

For example, the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant Program allocates $550 million to states, local governments and tribes and could be used to implement BE. The following are examples of programs of BE programs that may be eligible for funding as part of this overall energy efficiency opportunity.
